李邕(678—747年),唐代书家,字泰和,江都(今江苏扬州)人,官至北海太守,人称“李北海”。李邕书法初学王羲之,后又旁参汉隶及六朝楷书,改变王羲之遒美流便的书风而形成自家风格。他的书法体势欹侧,气魄宏大,笔力强劲,线条奇崛,风格峻峭,气韵豪迈。自魏晋以来,碑铭必以正书镌刻,李邕则以行书写碑志,沉雄倜傥,豪气逼人。李邕留世的碑版皆为行楷体,且各有意趣。著名的有《李思训碑》《岳麓寺碑》《叶有道碑》《李秀碑》等。
