肇庆市位于广东省中西部,西江干流横贯市区。肇庆市是农民革命运动开展较早的地区之一,是中国共产党领导的叶挺独立团北伐出发地。1924年,广东农民运动领袖之一的周其鉴从广州奔赴今属肇庆市辖区的广宁县组织农民协会,开展农民运动,创建农民自卫军和中国共产党组织,为西江流域农民运动的发展打下了基础。肇庆市委、市政府十分重视老区建设工作,从2013年起,每年制定《年度老区建设事项计划方案》发各县(市、区)实施。
Zhaoqing City is located in the central and western Guangdong Province, the mainstream of the Xijiang transgressive urban area. Zhaoqing City is one of the earliest areas where the peasant revolutionary movement was carried out and the starting point for the Northern Expedition by the Yeh Teng Independence Movement under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. In 1924, Zhou Qijian, one of the leaders of the peasant movement in Guangdong, rushed from Guangzhou to Guangzhou to organize a farmer’s association of Quang Ninh County, which is now under the jurisdiction of Zhaoqing. He started the peasant movement and established the Peasant Self-Defense Forces and the Chinese Communist Party organizations, laying the foundation for the development of the peasant movement in the Xijiang River. Zhaoqing municipal government attaches great importance to the construction of the old areas, from 2013 onwards, each year the development of “annual plan for the construction of the old district plan” made all counties (cities, districts) implementation.
