台静农(1902﹣1990),字伯简,安徽霍邱人。1922年赴京入北大国学门,陈垣为其导师。1928年受聘于辅仁大学国文系,1931年兼任校长秘书。柴德赓(1908﹣1970),字青峰,浙江诸暨人。1929年考入北平师范大学历史系,也是陈垣先生的学生,因学业突出,颇得陈垣赏识。因柴德赓无生活来源,陈垣惜才怜恤,安排至辅仁附中代国文课。台、柴二人年齿相近,订交于1931年秋,陈垣为引荐人。1935年台静农离开北平,先后至厦门大学、山东大学任教,1938年赴江津白沙国立
