世界各国政界人士和有关学者,历来蒙古研究和蒙古族的历史文化很感兴趣。而蒙古学研究领域中蒙古语言学研究则是占主要地位的一门学科,也是在蒙古学研究领域中最早被重视和研究的一门学科,它对民族历史文化的发展繁荣起了重大作用。下面就蒙古人民共和国六十年来对蒙古语言学的研究状况作一简要介绍。蒙古人民共和国自1921年建国到现在,其蒙古语言学的研究状况可分为以下几个阶段:
