The kinetics of magnesium removal from phosphate ore with diluted sulfuric acid was studied. The experimental results showed that hydrogen ion concentration, temperature, reaction time and particle size distributions of phosphate ore have different effect on the phosphorus removal and magnesium removal. A kinetic database of magnesium and phosphorus removals from ore was set up. The three-dimensional graphs of phosphorus and magnesium removals versus time and reaction conditions were drawn by a computer. The kinetic equations were developed.
