哈尔滨,女真语译为天鹅。这座年轻的城市在这个天鹅栖息地上建立起来。从建成那一刻起,就有音乐伴随着这座城市一起成长。他是我国接触欧洲古典音乐最早的城市。中国多项与音乐文化相关的“第一”就此产生:第一架钢琴运抵哈尔滨;第一场交响音乐会在哈奏响;第一所音乐学校在哈建成;第一支交响乐团在哈成立……这座城市对音乐的热爱与坚持,有了世界认可的称号——Music City。哈尔滨曾举办过的音乐会难以数计,从1961年开始举办的“哈尔滨之夏”音乐会则走过了半个世纪仍长兴不衰。
