关于西藏大直径横书一钱铜币,国内及港台钱币目录中均未见收录。《中国硬币标准图录》北京出版社、1991年2月第1版、P198编号Y21的注释中说:“有两个不同的“(狮头)类型”。但拓图只有其中的一枚。现根据笔者近年收集的一对此币实物考析如下。一、历史背景简述:西藏于1951年和平解放前,由于险峻的地貌,陆路没有公路,空中没有航线,从四川入藏的商队往返一次要一年左右。然而藏印间的交通却相对较方便,造成历史上英帝深入西藏的地理因素。1888年(清光绪14年)及1904年(清光绪30年)英军两次侵入,并强订和约,使清政府对西藏只保存了一个宗主权的空名。1912年辛亥革命后,无暇顾及,而英帝则乘机开始了策动西藏独立的阴谋史。
