The Flame of Heaven explores the social character of Saudi Arabia in the transformation of the 1970s from the perspective of the hero Tariq. It is a work that exposes the reality of Saudi society. The author uses magnificent palaces to rule the totalitarian monarchy, the ruler’s life is corrupt, and the bottom people are betraying the soul and morality in order to change their destiny. Under the influence of religious ecology, people’s sexual awareness and behavior in Saudi society are generally suppressed and can only be released through other means, resulting in a series of serious social problems. Under the absolute totalitarian authority of the monarchy, ordinary people have no freedom of speech and political freedom and become alienated into machines that can not express themselves. They did not benefit from the modernization of Saudi Arabia but paid for the negative impact they brought. The widening gap between rich and poor in society further distorted human nature, resulting in the decline of traditional values of social values and the weak religious awareness.
