Aurubis is Europe’s largest copper producer and the world’s largest copper recycler. The group has 4,700 employees. Its core business is the production of copper from copper concentrates, scrap copper and recycled materials, further processing into copper rods, continuous casting shapes, rolled products and copper alloys. In the Hamburg area, the Group’s business activities focus on the production of copper smelters. Austrian Lu Boss plant in environmental protection and international counterparts in a leading position. Through substantial investments in environmental protection and continuous improvement of production facilities, emissions have been reduced by about 90% since 1990.
