《街居园地》里反映的都是广大平凡的社区工作者与普通老百姓之间的琐碎小事,可在小事中却透出浓浓的人情味。居干们事多、权小、钱少,可他(她)们硬是凭一颗心,两双手为居民建起一方平安之地:让老人们不孤单,让孩子们有“小饭桌”,让劳动了一天的人们睡的安心,让曾误入歧途的浪子重新融入社会,让彼此陌生的邻里热情相处,让“脏、乱、差”的小区变成温馨家园……这一切凝聚着社区工作者的多少心血!真正为他们减负,替他们排忧解难,不必花太多的时间去应付一个个检查、一张张的报表、一次次的会议。居干们说的最多的一句话是:“给我们更多时间和精力深入到居民中去,我们会干得更好,才对得起老百姓的一张张选票。”
