Metallocene catalysis is a colorful and fruitful technology that has a significant impact on the development of the polyolefin industry. As a very broad range of technologies, the current discussion of the chemical industry focuses on the role of this technology in the development of new products and in the improvement of existing products. Metallocene catalyst systems also enable several important process improvements for gas phase polyethylene production.
