２０００年，在国务院的正确领导下，我国的价格改革和价格调控工作又取得了新的成绩，能源、交通、邮电、医药、城市公共事业等方面的价格改革又迈出了新的步伐，清费治乱的工作也有了实质性的进展。这些改革和调控措施在刺激消费和投资，促进经济结构调整和经济发展等方面都发挥了积极作用。为便于广大读者更全面深入地了解这些改革和调控措施，按照往年的惯例，本刊再次特邀国家计委价格司有关同志撰写了下面一组文章，并计划分期刊发。
In 2000, under the correct leadership of the State Council, China’s price reforms and price adjustments have achieved new results. The price reforms in energy, transportation, post and telecommunications, medicine, and urban public utilities have taken new steps. Paid work has also made substantial progress. These reforms and controls have played an active role in stimulating consumption and investment, promoting economic restructuring and economic development. In order to facilitate readers to more comprehensively and thoroughly understand these reforms and regulatory measures, according to the practice of previous years, this magazine once again invited the relevant Comrades of the Price Planning Department of the State Planning Commission to write the following group of articles and plans to issue them in separate periodicals.
