秋天。一条惨白的路向北延伸,路左是大兴安岭,白桦林在山间密布,树叶如碎金在枝头播曳,光彩闪烁;路右是黑龙江,水色黛青的中俄界河。一辆摩托车孤零零地在路上飞驰,远远望去像只小甲虫在爬。 公元1986年9月19日,摄影家徐力群从黑河市出发,驾摩托独闯祖国神秘的万里边陲。此行他用了5年时光,由黑龙江省起逆时针绕行边境一圈儿,探访生活在边疆四十几个少数民族的风土人情,共拍摄照片6万幅,撰写笔记百余万字。

The leaves are shorn like gold on the branches and twinkle; the right is the Sino-Russian border river in Heilongjiang and Qinghai. A motorcycle speeding alone on the road, from afar like a small beetle in the climb. On September 19, 1986, the photographer Xu Liqun set out from Heihe and drove the mysterious Wanli border to the motherland. He spent five years in this trip. From Heilongjiang Province counter-clockwise around the border circle to visit the lives of over 40 ethnic minorities in the border areas of local customs and practices, a total of 60,000 photos taken, write notes million words.
