November 8, 2011, Tetra Pak China Beverage Products R & D Center was officially opened in Shanghai. The center will provide beverage product development services to dairy beverage companies to reduce their R & D costs and shorten the development cycle to meet the increasingly diverse needs of the dairy beverage market. Zhao Yali, chairman of China Beverage Industry Association, Lee Hsun Son, president of Tetra Pak China, and several industry representatives attended the opening ceremony and observed the R & D process of the center on the spot.
