This paper discusses in detail the working principle of CSAMT, the principle of the emission sources in field work and the selection of several important parameters. The application of controllable source audio-frequency MTF in tunnel investigation is introduced . At the same time, through the practical application and detailed analysis of the two projects of Yingjiao Mountain Tunnel of Shuozhun Railway and Zhangxia Tunnel of Beijing-Shanghai Railway, the application scope of the controllable source audio-frequency MT method and its geological problems that can be solved are summarized.
