中专院校的学生,存在学习基础差、学习能力薄弱、学习状态不佳等特点,在英语学习方面,更是表现得学习兴趣丧失,学习态度不端正,学习效果低效,究其原因,除了与学生的学习基础有关,还与教师的教学方式有关,很多教师依然采用传统机械的满堂灌教学模式,这令英语课堂变得愈发枯燥和乏味,学生对英语课程的学习兴趣与热情日渐衰减。而情境教学模式,可以使学生在较为直观和真实的场景中进行学习,能够活化英语语言知识,使课堂氛围变得生动活泼,有利于充分激发学生的学习兴趣和热情,使学生的英语语言运用能力获得真正意义上的提高,所以,教师要将情境教学模式有效运用于中专英语课堂中。
