In February 1986, former Haiti President and Dictator Duvalier fled in panic. In advance, he seize the opportunity to disperse the huge sum of about 900 million US dollars scattered around the world in preparation for his later years to splurge. The new Haitian government certainly hopes to recover the hard-earned money of the Haitian people for the purpose of economic recovery. The New York law firm recommended to the Haitian government a mysterious figure to investigate the whereabouts of the money, the most outstanding private detective in the United States, Jules Kroll. His pleas for the Haitian government were readily promised, and his fees were very low because of his interest in the Duvalier issue.
