邓小平同志南巡的重要谈话是把马克思主义的世界观和方法论同中国社会主义建设实践相结合的产物,是对我国改革开放十几年实践经验的科学总结。这篇光辉文献有其重要的理论意义和现实意义。不但在于它深刻而精辟地阐明建设有中国特色社会主义一系列重大问题,而且通篇贯穿着一个鲜明的主题,就是必须进一步解放思想,才能真正迈开改革开放步伐。因而成为指导解放思想,深化我国社会主义改革开放的强大思想武器。一、解放思想是深化我国社会主义改革开放的客观要求。解放思想、清除“左”的思想理论和陈旧观念是加快改革开放步伐的重要思想条件。马克思主义历来重视革命理论对革命运动的指导作用,强调思想解放是自觉行动的先导。马克思曾经指示,“生产形式的改变和人对自然的实际统治是思维方法改变的结果。”邓小平同志早在一九七八年就指示过,“不打破思想僵化,不大大解放干部和群众的思想.四个现代化就没有希望。”革命实践运动需要正确的思想理论作指导。革命运动首先伴随的是解放思想的运动,没有思想上的解放做保证是不会有革命运动的成功。

Emancipating the mind and removing the “leftist” ideological theory and the old ideas are the important ideological conditions for speeding up the pace of reform and opening up. Marxism has always attached importance to the guiding role of the revolutionary theory in the revolutionary movement and emphasized that emancipating the mind is the precursor to conscious actions. Marx once indicated that “changes in the form of production and the actual dominance of man by nature are the result of changes in the way of thinking.” Comrade Deng Xiaoping instructed as early as 1978 not to break the rigid ideology and not greatly liberate the cadres and the masses Thinking. “There is no hope for the four modernizations.” The revolutionary practice movement needs the correct ideological theory as a guide. The revolutionary movement was first accompanied by a movement to emancipate the mind. Without the guarantee of ideological liberation, there would be no success of the revolutionary movement.
