人类已经进入了21世纪,以信息技术为主要标志的科技进步日新月异。现在的社会是一个终身学习的社会,一个人只有具备了获取信息能力,才能获取更强的可持续发展能力和更多的终身教育的机会。与此同时,大学英语教学现状也必然要求学校和教师积极研究如何培养学生的自主学习能力。教师可通过创设和谐的课堂学习环境,激发学生的学习动机,创设启发式的课堂教学模式,加强对英语学习策略的训练,引入自我评价及监控机制,充分利用多媒体、网络资源引导自主学习等措施,逐步培养学生自主学习的能力。
