针对近年来本市西瓜品种混杂退化,品质差等现状,我们以早熟、优质、高产为目标,开展了西瓜新品种选育工作。利用国内外优良杂种一代西瓜进行新品种选育是一条周期短、投资少、见效快的西瓜育种途径尤其在种质资源贫乏的情况下,对创造西瓜新品种、丰富种质资源具有较大的实用意义。因此我们利用了日本的一代杂种西瓜,经4年连续6代自文选育,培育成早熟、优质的“琼露”西瓜品种。选育经过选用日本获原农场生产的早熟、质优西瓜“早生日章”一代杂种为试材,于1981年1月播种育苗,2月上旬定植于温室,4月中旬自交授粉,5月下 In view of the current situation of mixed degeneration and poor quality of watermelon varieties in the city in recent years, we have carried out selection and breeding of new varieties of watermelon with the objective of early maturity, high quality and high yield.
