“对于每个有创造力的个人来说设计这个过程是独一无二的,是非常个人的经过多年试验和应用的过程。我的建筑之旅是一段以艺术进化为导向的自我探索的过程;一个保持对场所精神,对作用于其上的力量,对在瞬息万变建筑环境中的人们有直观意识和连接的过程。”——Todd E.Pilgreen,AIAUED:首先,可否与我们分享您个人的求学与工作经历?Todd:与建筑结缘对我来说既是意料之外也是情理之中。我的父亲是雕塑艺术家,从儿时起我便身处于一个创造性的世界中。也许是受父亲的影响,我之所以会喜欢建筑是因为它有着和雕塑相似的地方,即可以从三维角度预想要创造的东西。对我来说,建筑之所以更契合于我,是因为它更具有技术性。我一直钟情于这种创造结构性的、技术性的事物。在发掘对建筑的极大热情后,就必须努力去实行,因此,我选择到专门的建筑院校学习。事实上,我并不是因为想要进入大学而去建筑学校,恰恰是为了学习建筑才选择进入大学。因为我确信自己会成为一名建筑师,而大学是帮助我实现这个目标的途径。在之后的工作中,我不断思考、学习、发现自我,这是一个很有趣
“The process of designing this process is unique to every creative individual and is a very personal process of testing and applying for many years. My journey to architecture is a process of self-exploration based on artistic evolution; one Maintain a sense of place, the power that acts upon it, and the intuitive awareness and connection of people in a rapidly changing architectural environment. ”- Todd E. Pilgreen, AIAUED: First, can you share your personal study with us? Work experience? Todd: getting in touch with architecture is both unexpected and reasonable to me. My father is a sculpture artist, and from a young age I was in a creative world. Perhaps influenced by my dad, I love architecture because it has a place similar to sculpture, that is, I can predict what I want to create from a three-dimensional perspective. For me, architecture is more compatible with me because it is more technical. I have always loved this kind of creating structural, technical things. After discovering the great passion for architecture, we must work hard to implement it, so I chose to study in a specialized architecture school. In fact, I did not choose to go to university because I wanted to go to university but rather to build schools. Because I’m sure I will become an architect, and the university is to help me achieve this goal. In the following work, I keep thinking, learning and discovering myself. It is a very interesting one
