高能物理实验常用的多丝正比室及正比计数管经常采用气压略大于一个大气压的充气。由于低气压的正比计数管具有工作电压低、脉冲上升时间快等优点,我们试验了一种充酒精蒸汽的低气压正比计数管,气压范围从3毫米汞柱到30毫米汞柱。本文简要报道实验的结果。
High-energy physics experiments commonly used multi-wire proportional chamber and proportional counter tube often use pressure slightly greater than one atmosphere of inflation. Because of the advantages of low-pressure proportional counter tube with low operating voltage and fast pulse rise time, we tested a low-pressure proportional counter tube filled with alcohol vapor ranging from 3 mmHg to 30 mmHg. This article briefly reports the results of the experiment.
