实现一种简易的热光开关,利用有机-无机混合溶胶凝胶材料的温敏特性,在光纤耦合器表面涂敷了一层温敏薄膜,通过温度改变了耦合器的折射率分布。当薄膜的折射率大于耦合器的石英材料折射率时,耦合器的传输损耗高,会发生光的抑制,反之则能够正常通光。利用温度变化这一特性,设计热光开关的装置,该装置成本低,制作简便,稳定性高,有一定的使用价值。
A simple thermo-optical switch is realized. By using the temperature-sensitive characteristic of the organic-inorganic hybrid sol-gel material, a layer of temperature-sensitive film is coated on the surface of the fiber coupler, and the refractive index distribution of the coupler is changed by the temperature. When the refractive index of the film is greater than the index of refraction of the quartz material of the coupler, the transmission loss of the coupler is high and the suppression of light occurs, and otherwise the light can pass normally. The use of temperature changes in this feature, the design of the thermo-optic switch device, the device is low cost, easy to manufacture, high stability, there is a certain value.
