Although corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) is the first hormone found in the hypothalamus, its chemical structure remains unclear. It has been reported that a 41 peptide is isolated from the hypothalamus of sheep, which peptide has CRF activity in vivo or in vitro in mice. This article reports that synthetic sheep CRF can stimulate normal human anterior pituitary secretion of ACTH. Methods: Normal male subjects were 6 (29-35 years old). One night after fasting in the morning after the introduction of intravenous forearm intubation, 45 minutes after the extraction of the basis of a blood specimen, an interval of 15 minutes and then take a copy. Subjects were then injected with 1 ml or 1 ml of saline solution containing 100 μg of synthetic CRF in acid salt solution.
