P18 (KWKLFKKIPKFLHLAKKF-NH2) is an antimicrobial peptide designed from a bactericidin A-magainin 2 hybrid with strong antibacterial activity but no hemolysis on human erythrocytes. P18 has antifungal activity against fungi Candida albicans, T. fortigelli, Aspergillus flavus and F. oxysporum (MIC: 12.5-25 mm).
