中国工艺美术馆位于北京西长安街复兴门立交桥东北角,是国内第一个现代化大型工艺美术综合型建筑(见封面照片)。该工程外形宏大,装修上既有传统的民族风格,又有八十年代的装饰特点。如外檐的干挂大理石墙面和铝台金玻璃幕墙,室内的采光屋顶不锈钢吊饰(图1、封底照片1)及挂片吊顶等,反映了现代建筑特点;
The China Arts and Crafts Museum is located at the northeast corner of Fuxingmen Overpass in West Chang’an Street, Beijing, and is the first large-scale integrated modern-art architecture in China (see the cover photo). The project is large in appearance and has both traditional ethnic style and decoration features in the 1980s. For example, the dry hanging marble walls and aluminum gold glass curtain walls of the outer walls, the interior lighting roof stainless steel hanging ornaments (Figure 1, back cover photograph 1) and hanging ceilings etc. reflect the characteristics of modern architecture;
