土钉墙是从隧道新奥法基础上发展起来的一门边坡防护支挡新技术,它是通过钢筋或其它高强度长条材料对原位岩体进行加固,从而提高原位岩体视凝聚力及其强度,使被加固岩土体形成了性质与原来大为不同的复合材料的视重力式挡土墙。在西南地区铁路、公路建设中,应用相当广泛,特别是在地材紧缺的地区,就显得更为经济。
