本世纪５０年代末，美国乔姆斯基创立了转换生成语法理论，向在美国生根的描写语言学发起挑战，被人称作“乔姆斯基革命”。２０年后，当年的挑战者又受到语言学界多方面的学术挑战。本文对近年来语言学发展的新动向作出评述。
In the late 1950s, Chomsky founded the theory of translation-generated grammar and challenged the descriptive linguistics that took root in the United States. It was called Chomsky Revolution. Twenty years later, the challengers of that year were challenged by various academic challenges in the field of linguistics. This article reviews recent developments in linguistics.
