西红花又名藏红花、番红花;为鸢尾科植物番红花Crocus sativus L.的干燥柱头,是进口的药材之一。具有活血化瘀、凉血解毒、解郁安神的功效;常用于经闭症瘕、产后瘀血、温病发斑、忧郁痞闷、惊悸发狂等症。原产西班牙、希腊等国。为了减少国家的外汇支出,保障人民健康、增加农民收入,我省引种西德、日本的球茎已获成功,且已开始提供商品。
