在磨削过程中,需要对所用的砂轮进行精密平衡,这样才能保证工件磨削质量、降低加工成本、提高生产效率、保持轴承寿命。目前国内对砂轮平衡是采用静平衡方法,而这种方法受到平衡架导轨的精度、平衡芯轴的圆度、摩擦力以及操作者技术水平等影响,使砂轮平衡精度受到限制。而对于精密磨削还需要分初平衡、精密平衡,并要经过多次装拆砂轮。上述方法存在着平衡时间长,使用不方便等缺点。为此,国内外不少单位研制了多种手动或自动的砂轮动态平衡装置。这种装置在使用中,砂轮不需要装拆,就能对不平衡状态及时检测和补偿,使其保持在良好的平衡状态下工作。
