白寿彝先生的学术成就是多方面的,在这些成就当中,关于中国史学史的研究占有非常重要的位置。先生自20世纪40年代初,在云南大学开始讲授中国史学史以来,一直致力于对中国史学史的探索和研究,在近六十余年的学术研究历程中,可以说是硕果累累。在这些丰硕的成果中,1986年上海人民出版社出版的《中国史学史》第一册,是白先生在这个学术研究领域内的代表作之一,也是他留给后人的一笔宝贵的学术
Mr. Bai Shouyi’s academic achievements are manifold. Among these achievements, the study on the history of Chinese historians occupies a very important position. Since the beginning of 1940s, Yunnan University began to teach the history of Chinese historians, and has devoted himself to exploring and researching the history of Chinese historiography, which has been fruitful for nearly sixty years during the academic research. Among these fruitful achievements, the first volume of “History of Chinese Historiography,” published by the Shanghai People’s Publishing House in 1986, is one of Bai’s masterpieces in this field of academic research as well as a precious academic he left for future generations
