我们大队是个黄土丘陵地区。有八个生产队,二百七十四户,一千三百二十二人,耕地面积一千七百七十四亩。解放前,黄土岗上不但没有树,而且有的连草都不长。一九六四年,在“农业学大寨”的群众运动中,为了落实毛主席“绿化祖国”、“实行大地园林化”的伟大号召,我们大队办起了林场。办场后,我们坚持毛主席革命路线,带领广大贫下中农,胸怀朝阳,破除迷信,以“敢叫日月换新天”的革命精神,与天斗,与地斗,与阶级敌人斗,与错误思想斗,经过九年来的艰苦努力,终于在草都难长的黄土岗上造起了四百三十亩杉木林,并因地制宜地栽了松、竹、桑、茶、果等林木七十多
