蔡元培在北洋军阀黑暗统治、封建复古泛滥的背景下,实施“思想自由,兼容并包”的教育管理思想,本质是支持和促进新思想、新文化的发展。在当前社会各阶层利益冲突加剧、思想纷繁复杂的背景下,“思想自由,兼容并包”有助于化解错综复杂的社会矛盾,构建和谐社会。既要让一切劳动、知识、技术、管理和资本的活力竞相迸发,又要坚持社会主义主旋律,进行爱国主义、集体主义、社会主义教育。
Under the background of the dark domination of the Beiyang warlords and the feudal upsurge of the ancient times, Cai Yuanpei implemented the education and management philosophy of “freedom of thought, compatibility and inclusion”. The essence is to support and promote the development of new ideas and new cultures. In the current context of intensified interest conflicts and complicated thoughts in all social strata, “freedom of thought, compatibility and inclusion” helps to resolve the complicated social contradictions and build a harmonious society. We must let all labor, knowledge, technology, management and the vitality of capital burst out of competition. We must also uphold the main theme of socialism and carry out patriotism, collectivism and socialist education.
