照明是人们日常生活和工作中必不可少的条件,是室内环境设计的重要组成部分,照明有利于人的活动安全和舒适的生活。冈那·伯凯利兹说:“没有光就不存在空间。”光照的作用,对人的视觉功能极为重要。室内自然光或灯光照明设计在功能上要满足人们多种活动的需要,而且还要重视空间的照明效果,它们是一种精神化的存在。因此室内环境的采光和照明很大程度上决定了室内设计的质量,是室内设计中的一个重要的环节,不但能够满足人们的基本视觉效果,还可以使空间环境艺术化。
