The ruby deposits in the marble are the main source of premium jewelry rubies. Some of these deposits have been well known since ancient times and have been mined for centuries (the Mogok area in Myanmar, the Jijddarc area in Afghanistan), and some have been discovered in recent years (Hunghas area in Northern Pakistan, Mill area). In Thailand and northern Burma, ruby deposits unique to the gemstone’s resources and qualities are associated with the destruction of this type of primary deposit. Few studies on the native ruby deposits in the marble have been done in foreign countries, and no reports have been reported in the literature. This results in the ruby deposit being classified as a magnesian-calcareous skarn and is considered to be composed of gneiss - The product of the hydrothermal action of gas formed by granites in the marble.
