我市有中学355所,小学1874所。目前中学体育教师的学历合格率为47.36％,小学为36.57％,中小学卫生保健人员的学历合格率为37.88％,两支队伍离国家的要求尚有不小差距,特别是以农村学校和农村小学为甚。因此,加强农村学校这两支队伍的建设,是“发展学校体育卫生事业的一项重要任务”。为加强这两支队伍的建设,我们做了下面几件工作: 一、解决来源。前几年,我市已在雷州师专增设了体育系和在遂溪师范学校开办了体育班,目前试行主副科制:去年起至今、明年,又委托廉江卫生职工中专开办了医士(校医)代培班,拟争取在湛江医学院和湛江卫生学校从今年起开办公卫班,以求在1995年前解决农村中小学体育教师和卫生保健人员的配备问题。二、提高素质。一方面加强体育函授教育,委托湛江教育学院和各县师范(教师进修)学校举办函授班(目前已毕业了219人),另方面加强教研活动,
There are 355 secondary schools and 1,874 primary schools in our city.
