西蜂窝寺,在康乐县西南五十里的上洼地村塔墩梁,何时所建,无从考究.初名“古佛寺”,后易名“大圣寿宝积寺”.明永乐十年(公元1412年)寺住持僧侯班丹札释,曾两次出使乌斯藏(即今西藏)与恭卜国(待考),宣传五化,均不辱命,进京后永乐帝赐号“宏通妙戒普慧善应慈济辅国阐教灌顶净觉西天佛子大智法王”,赐改寺名为“正觉寺”,颁敕文一帧,赐香巴金像一尊,普贤法宝铜印一枚,珍珠伞一把,万岁牌一付.时寺内有僧人五百多,土地三百多亩,水磨一盘,油坊一座,建有大佛殿、护神殿、讲经楼等古建筑房屋十间,新建十二层宝塔一座.清顺治十年(公元1653年)时,帝赐香巴鎏金铜佛一尊,粘金细琢,神态自若,栩栩如生.乾隆十年(公元1745年)更名西蜂窝寺.寺内现保存
