城市汉英公示语的翻译存在着大量的问题及错误。本文对无锡市进行了专题实地调研,采集了市区道路交通、旅游景点、公共设施、医疗卫生和商业服务业等各行业、各单位的汉英双语公示语共5802条,并对其中存在的错误进行了分门别类的归因分析。在建立汉英公示语翻译失误预防机制方面,提出了政府、高校、翻译协会三方合力的制度性建议。
There are a lot of problems and mistakes in the translation of Chinese and English public signs in cities. This article conducted a special field survey in Wuxi City and collected 5802 Chinese-English bilingual public signs in various sectors such as urban road traffic, tourist attractions, public facilities, medical and health services and commercial service industries, The error was categorized by attribution analysis. In the establishment of Chinese-English public signs of translation error prevention mechanism, the government, universities, translation associations tripartite synergy institutional proposals.
