The Preliminary Ideas for the Development of Mathematical Curriculum Standards in China[1] (hereinafter referred to as “Envisions”) is the internalization of the Education Action Plan for 21st Century for Education in the field of mathematics education. It has constructed a reasonable standard for mathematics curriculum in China. The framework embodies the new concept of “student-centered” in mathematics education, and absorbs new achievements in mathematics education, such as construction theory, as a system of scientific mathematics curriculum standards.
