Recently, some media reported that Anqing City, Anhui Province announced the implementation of cremation on June 1, resulting in “many old people ” before the deadline “suicide ” or “abnormal death ”. In response, Anhui Provincial Civil Affairs Department responded that the report was untrue. The death of the elderly reported by the media was not related to the funeral reform. He also said that Anqing City is one of the few administrative cities in the province that failed to implement funeral and interment reforms. This long-delayed reform will not stop this time due to media coverage. Funeral reform is a major event in China. New China advocated the reform of funeral and interment for several decades, basically changed the people’s concept in urban areas and achieved significant results. As can be seen from the place names, the city of Beijing was surrounded by various kinds of “graves” in the past, and now cremation is widespread. Although the graves have been buried in the cemetery after the popular cremation in recent years, the land saved is generally impressive.
