Greece plunged into the first round of economic recession in 2008 due to sluggish worldwide growth caused by the global financial crisis. Greece’s national statistics agency recently released data show that after the end of the first quarter of this year, up to six years of recession, Greece’s third quarter GDP growth of 0.7% growth rate higher than many economic powers. In the third quarter, the Greek economy grew by 1.7% over the same period of last year and by 0.7% over the second quarter of this year. The data is revised.
