我在读恩格斯的“马克思墓前演说”(见《马克思恩格斯文选》)时,不禁产生了两种心情:一是怅然若失,一是无限敬仰。感到怅然的是,这位革命导师离开我们太早了;产生敬仰的是,这位革命导师在他的光辉的一生中为全世界无产阶级的解放事业作出了多么巨大的贡献呵! 在“马克思墓前演说”里,首先,恩格斯指出,这个巨人的死是一个不可估量的损失;继而,非常扼要的叙述了马克思在科学上和在革命实践斗争中的丰功伟绩;最后,极为生动的说道:
When I read Engels’s “Marx’s Tomb Preface” (see “Selected Works of Marx and Engels”), I can not help but produce two feelings: one is feeling lost, one is infinite admiration. It is with a sense of loss that it is too early for the revolutionary mentor to leave us; what is admirably honored is the great contribution that this revolutionary mentor made to the world’s proletarian liberation in his glorious lifetime! First of all, Engels pointed out that the death of this giant is an immeasurable loss; then, it gives a very brief account of the great achievements of Marx in science and in the struggle for revolutionary practice; and finally, vividly said:
