本研究通过分析问卷调查了解到,中国英语专业学习者在自然阅读中,通常使用猜测、帮助(查字典、询问)及忽略策略解决阅读中的词汇问题。其中猜测策略是最常用的策略,而忽略和询问则最不常用。同时发现不同英语程度的学习者在词汇处理策略使用上存在巨大差异。总体而言,高水平学习者更频繁地运用猜测策略,而低水平学习者更青睐帮助策略。
Through analyzing the questionnaires, this study has learned that Chinese EFL learners often use guessing in natural reading to help (check dictionaries, ask questions) and neglect strategies to solve vocabulary problems in reading. Which guess strategy is the most commonly used strategy, while ignoring and asking is the most commonly used. At the same time, it is found that there are huge differences in the use of vocabulary processing strategies among learners of different levels of English. In general, high-level learners use guessing strategies more often, while lower-level learners prefer favoring strategies.
