The brain parenchyma has a blood-brain barrier that other organs do not have, but the absence of lymphoid tissue and the absence of a major histocompatibility com-plex (MHC) necessary for self-recognition are therefore considered The immunologically privileged site of the systemic immune response is thought to be a specialized organ that is not controlled by the systemic immune system. Recently, as a result of advances in basic neuroscience, patients with resistant Parkinson’s disease have improved their clinical symptoms by intracerebral transplantation of dopamine-producing neurons. The graft can be used peripheral nerve tissue, central nervous tissue can also be used. In transplanted tissue, sometimes cells in the process of fetal meristematic division, sometimes differentiated into mature cells. This article mainly discusses the immune response in the rat model of Parkinson’s disease transplantation of homologous or heterologous nerve cells.
