58 cases of congenital heart defects reported by the Moscow Shechenov School of Surgeons and other clinical hospitals. 36 cases of ventricular septal defect, the rest for atrial septal defect. The authors describe in more detail the changes in hemodynamics and blood oxygen content of atrial and ventricular septal defects as well as physical examinations, electrocardiographic examinations, and the like. Special emphasis is given to the presentation of congenital heart disease in X-ray and cardiovascular imaging. The authors emphasize the superiority of selective cardiovascular angiography in the diagnosis of atrioventricular septal defects. The authors presented images of “rinse strips” when it comes to diagnosing ventricular septal defects with contrast media through a peripheral vein for general cardiovascular imaging. Twenty-one of their 36 cases of ASD had a “wash zone” image.
