雕塑家万兆泉的《广州百年风情》近日在广州陈氏书院展出,并受到广泛关注和好评。他在从事雕塑艺术创作30多年的岁月中,深入生活、体验生活,不断吸收、不断积累。创作灵感来源于生活反映社会,几十年来勤于耕耘,不断探索,创作出许多脍炙人口的艺术佳作。他创作的雕塑作品《犁》曾获广州市第一届红棉文艺奖,作品被选作城市雕塑,立于广州英雄广场。他创作的《广州百年风情》群雕中的《卖荔枝》、《书在肚里》、《勤有功》等几十件作品入选广州市雕塑公园。从1998年开始,万兆泉产生了用雕塑艺术表现广州民俗民情的创作冲动。
