Objective: To investigate the expression of neuron-specific enolase (NSE) in serum of children with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HTEE) and to evaluate the hearing ability of children with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy by using the Transient Otoacoustic Emission Analyzer (TEOAE) Testing, explore the relationship and significance. Methods: Totally 259 children with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy were enrolled in this study. One hundred normal full-term newborns were selected as the control group. The serum levels of NSE were detected by ELISA. TEOAE was used to examine the hearing of the two groups Situation, observe the relationship. Results: The expression of NSE in the serum of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, the passing rate of hearing test was significantly lower than that of the control group, and the serum NSE level in the non-passing group was higher. Conclusion: The high expression of NSE in serum correlates with the hearing ability of children with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. Detecting the expression of NSE in the serum of children with early detection is of great significance in evaluating prognosis, early intervention and prevention.
