The theory of multivariable linear stationary systems has been rapidly developed in the last two decades. This theory can be divided into dynamic system analysis and dynamic system controller design. The concept of algebra plays an important role in this theory, both in analysis and in design. One of the advantages of the algebraic approach is that it is usually possible to work with both continuous-time systems and discrete-time systems. Algebra methods are proposed by Kalman in a series of articles.
