丰镇市地处晋、冀、蒙三省交界处,是发达省区经济向西部省区转移的桥头堡。改革开放以来,丰镇经济得到了长足发展,特别是2003年以来,经济进入了加速增长期,经济主要指标每隔三年翻两番,综合实力明显加强。财政总收入、规模以上工业增加值、固定资产投资等主要经济指标跃居乌兰察布市第一,蝉联中国西部百强县,跻身2006年度全国最具经济潜力中心城市百强县。
Fengzhen is located at the junction of Jin, Ji and Meng provinces and is the bridgehead for the transfer of developed provinces and regions to the western provinces and autonomous regions. Since the reform and opening up, Fengzhen economy has made great strides, especially since 2003, the economy has entered an accelerated growth period, and its major economic indicators have quadrupled every three years. The comprehensive strength has been obviously strengthened. The major economic indicators such as total fiscal revenue, industrial added value above designated size and investment in fixed assets were among the top 100 in Wulanchabu, ranking among the top 100 counties in western China and among the top 100 counties with the most economic potential in 2006.
