In the mid-1990s, when I was studying in the United States, I heard Professor Chen Ming committed himself to “The Tao” magazine. My idea at the time was that this kid was probably whimsical and wanted to follow the example of Han Yu of the Tang Dynasty. We know that Han Yu seeks the founding principles of the Chinese in the context of the powerful influence Buddhism has demonstrated. His efforts led to Song Ming Neo-Confucianism and greatly promoted the development of Confucianism. Can contemporary Confucianism become unique in the context of the strong discourse of Western languages and demonstrate its own strength, taking full advantage of it and building a firm foothold in response to the challenges? Once again, it has become the dominant force of Chinese culture. I have always held the view on this issue Answer the attitude. At the same time, I started to pay attention to Chen Ming’s “Tao”.
